INIESTA CONFIRMS HE COULD MAKE BARCELONA RETURN
Former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has somewhat confirmed that he could be returning to the Camp Nou in what came as a rather shocking and interesting development. The former Spain international midfielder was a midfield maestro during his playing days for the Blaugrana and bossed the midfield alongside hie former teammate at club and national team level, Xavi Hernández. However, all good things do come do an end and the two players, with tears in their eyes, announced their departures from the club they spent all of their playing careers playing for.
Xavi guided his club to the league title and he began to be mentioned as one of the most likely candidates to become the new Barcelona manager following a series of poor performances the club were having under former boss Ronald Koeman. He was eventually appointed as manager and even though he still needs some time to deliver the goods at the club, he has been doing quite well ever since.
Another one of Xavi’s former teammates, Dani Alves, recently stunned a lot of fans by returning to the club and has been playing for them since then even at the age of 38, same as Iniesta. A return for Iniesta would mean a reunion for the three men as they enjoyed their playing days at Barca together and won a lot of trophies as well.
