INIESTA LEADS KOBETO FIRST WIN
Spanish football legend Andres Iniesta has guided Vissel Kobe to their first league win of the season after they thrashed Sagan Tosu 4-0 at home. Andres Iniesta was the star of the show after he scored one and provided another on the way to an emphatic victory for his team.
Asian Champions League campaigners Vissel Kobe had not won a league game in the Japanese top flight this season before they played hosts to Sagan Tosu last week Saturday. They were able to record their first win of the season in the J. League thanks in part to the quality shown by Andres Iniesta.
Vissel Kobe have failed to hit the heights of last season in the current season. They finished in their place last season, but this season has been different. Andres Iniesta and his colleagues had not won any of their eleven league games this season before they took on Sagan Tosu, which is the former club of the retired Fernando Torres. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Kawasaki who are one of the leading teams in the Japanese top flight this season thanks to the late goal from defender Shogo Taniguchi. The Japanese defender scored the winner two minutes into stoppage time to give his team the three points on offer. With the away win over Kobe, Kawasaki moved above Kashima Antlers to first position on the league table. Kawasaki are now one point ahead of Kashima Antlers as a result of the away win over Kobe.
